Ine Fishing Village & Amanohashidate

Amanohashidate

Take the chairlift/monorail up to Amanohashidate View Land. Open 9:00–17:00 in October — the summit has the famous "flying dragon" view.

Drive to Ine (about 45 min)

The road follows the coast and gets increasingly rural as you approach the village.

Park at Funaya no Sato Ine

A large free car park on the hill above Ine. Walk into town — it's not big enough for large cars.

Walk the funaya waterfront

These aren't just preserved buildings: around 230 funaya remain along roughly 5km of coastline, and many are still homes and working spaces.

Ine Cafe for something casual with the village atmosphere, or Ine Restaurant Funaya for seafood.
